It's 2012! Holyyyy Crap!

So I guess I haven't been on here in a while. (chuckle) I was thinking about starting a blog about weight loss for Dave and I. I am going to use this place to document our journey. We have a long ways to go. But I hope that I will lose 10 pounds a month. Which is completely do-able. If I do that then I will be at my goal weight of 130 by September. It's going to be really hard! I have lost 30 pounds before, and I felt so amazing. I should just get on with it and put in the work. It HAS to happen! This is the year. I am trying to encourage Dave to stick with it too. I will log our weigh ins and our measurements soon, and then I will update weight loss every week, and measurements every month.

Errands

Today I ran some errands with Isabel. We went to Costco and got the Turbo Tax software.. along with Madagascar 2 and a couple books. I got James Patterson's "Run for your Life" and Isabel got Dr. Seuss' "ABC" book. Lately I have been a couch potato, so I decided to actually get the blood flowing and go to the gym. I went yesterday and the day before, and I feel really good about it. Today I didn't go because of all the things I needed to get done, but I do plan on going tomorrow. . I figure days a week isn't so bad when you're just starting out. The picture to the right is one of Isabel and I on any given day of the week. Getting ready to go out! Isabel is getting older and I do realize that she needs to get rid of that pacifier.. but whats a mom to do when they beg and plead?! My oh my.. am I in for it..

Some creep has been impersonating a police officer around my area and sexually assaulting women/girls. EW!! I was extra vigilant today when I was driving.. But what kind of freak does that..? The world we live in is full of good and evil.. Let's just hope that GOODNESS prevails!

I have been thinking a lot about my grandmother on my fathers side lately.. She is sick with cancer and we're not sure how long she has left. I really want to go to Chicago to visit her, but money is always an issue.. I may be able to catch a lift with my dad though.. 12 hr drive from VA to IL... with Isabel.. hmm. I'm still contemplating..

Organizing..a little.

Last night, Dave played poker after work, and so I took the opportunity to do some scrapbooking and then I organized some of my pages that weren't in page protectors yet. I love the way pages look in the protectors. A got a total sense of satisfaction. lol. I also made a really cute mini album for Vivian (my niece who's turning 17) for her birthday using the American Crafts Teen line. All the while I was watching episodes on DVD of the 5th season of The Sopranos.

Today I was planning on going out to dinner with Nestor, but then I realized that I had double booked so to speak. Vivian's birthday dinner is tonight, so I have to go to that. I'll do dinner with Nestor tomorrow. Right now me and Isabel are just hanging out at home. But we do need to go out and get some birthday presents.. something for Vivian, something for Bailee (my friend's daughter) and something for my uncle Alan whose birthday is on the 23rd. So I guess I better get off here!

So today we are just hanging out at home waiting for the guy from Best Buy to get here and fix our tv which has a burnt out bulb.. I've been surfing the web as usual and came across a lot of inspiring places. I see now how completely plain my blog is, so I decided to post some pics.. This one to the right is of me and Dave. This was during December and is very reminiscent of what our December was like. Very calm, laid-back, and happy. I love the way black and white photos look.. they make things seem so pretty and classic. The Christmas tree also looks very illuminating in black and white.

BLAH

So it's Saturday and we really didn't have a lot of things to do other than the normal...clean, laundry, dishes.... but who wants to do that on a Saturday? Well last night we did go to Disney on Ice, which was cool. Isabel loved it. Today I decided to go and see my Dad which was good, because I haven't seen him in a while. Apparently the business is going really well. Danielle and Herson were going to Occoquan and Andrew was with Donna. My Dad was pretty busy, so we went over to Aunt Lia's house and chatted for a while. My cousin Lindsey got her license! She so deserves it..... My brother is in Japan visiting mom, and I hope he's having fun. I'm really not feeling well because I have a cold.. plus I'm aggravated because I'm in a group for a class and we have a project but to make a long story short, I seem to be the only one who really cares about our project, and our grade. But nothing can put a damper on the fact that the season premiere of Dexter is coming on tomorrow night. I'm so excited.. I really think that he might kill Deb this season... or someone close to him. Well thats all for today~

Rainy Day

So today is trully one of the most boring days ever. Not to mention it's raining, which makes it that much more.... BLAH. The cable people came over though, and now we have cable in my scraproom and in Izzy's room. I've been watching Californication on demand, which actually got me in touch with my inner writer, which is why I started this blog. So cheers, to A Day in the Life.... of ME!
